Chelsea Manning: liberada, por ahora...

Chelsea Manning, quien se hallaba en prisión por rehusarse a testificar para el caso de WikiLeaks, ha sido liberada luego de haber pasado allí 62 días.

Esto se debe a que el juzgado y su decisión han vencido; no obstante, el siguiente jueves Manning podría volver a prisión cuando tenga que testificar de nuevo y se rehúse (lo cual muy probablemente ocurrirá)…

Aún hay mucha tensión y especulación sobre qué es lo que ocurrirá con el caso de WikiLeaks, con Chelsea Manning, y Julian Assange...

Looking back at the past: South African Apartheid (Part III: Bantu Education and the sustainability of Apartheid)

The Bantu Education Act of 1953 was a law passed by the Malan Government one year before his retirement. The Act made it mandatory for all school in South African territory to admito students from only one race. In other words, the Bantu Education Act stopped interracial education and founded the basis for the sustainability of the Apartheid System. The Bantu Education Act also changed the way African people were educated. The new system left the non-Whites education in the hands of the Native Affairs Department, separating African education from the Ministry of Education. It is very important to note that the Minister of Native Affairs during that time was HF Verwoerd himself (the architect of Apartheid). Sri Lanka: TRAGEDIA

A las 8:45, comenzó todo; y cuando hubo acabado, había más de 200 muertos, y hasta 450 heridos. Fue una de las tragedias más terribles que ha sufrido el país, y específicamente los turistas y fieles cristianos.  Fueron seis bombas suicidas en total; tres en hoteles populares, y tres iglesias católicas, donde se celebraba el Domingo de Resurrección. Lo peor de todo esto es que pudo haber sido evitado, pues al parecer oficiales tenían información de un posible ataque terrorista en varias iglesias en el país. Esto es confirmado por un documento de agencias de inteligencia publicado por el Ministro de Telecomunicaciones de Sri Lanka, ayer por la noche. Por lo menos 35 de las víctimas eran extranjeras, y en la lista se incluyen estadounidenses, hindúes, un japonés, holandés, portugués, británicos y heridos incluyen incluso australianos, y de muchas otras nacionalidades.
